Best probably to type it and make a copy. You can still find a typewriter in the Philippines. Hard to do anymore in the US!

Here is the link to the form with how to answer the questions, you can actually go to the top of this forum and look @ "Example Forms" and look @ the forms and how they are filled out:

http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-DS-157.pdf

Also, why not just fill it out online( http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/79964.pdf ) and bring it in with you to the bank so you don't have to fill it out?

Excellent question???

For some reason the bank will not accept filled out DS 157 forms and just stamp them. They will only give you one blank that is stamped on the back and a receipt!! :bonk: You have to fill it out and make a copy as 2 DS 157s are required.

In the past I've seen some peeps fill out online and get them stamped. NOT often tho. Maybe since USEM doesn't use BPI anymore the new one may do things different. BDO I think!

The DS-230 form is for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration, you're applying for a K-1, which is a Non-Immigrant Visa.. have you downloaded the Packet from Manila Embassy yet? It states the forms you will need to bring with you for the interview: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwfk1en.pdf

Tell her to try . Maybe the new banks have a different policy.

Yeah, that's something I wouldn't even have to tell her, she'll do it anyways.. , will find out bukas, as she's headed to Manila for her med exam and will pay for the visa fee then.

Another quick questions about the DS157..

On block # 12 and #17 asking about the employment history and the Educational BAckground..

We put the answer on the attached sheet, just wondering..

1.Do we really have to put the exact date of graduation?? cause it says there mm-dd-yyyy. Gosh, I could remember when I finished elementary...:blush::blink:

2. How specific does the address should be?? should I just put the area and the city or put the whole address including the block numbers???:unsure:

WE really appreciate all the help we can get..

Thank you all...

Happy New Year!!!

Yes you can use a separate sheet, just make sure to note which questions you're answering to.

For #12, I would put as close as you can remember, but if you can find out really fast, might as well put that in.

For #17, Elementary is not need, but your HS or any other education after that should be there. Again, if you can remember the date(maybe look on your diploma or certificates?) the better.

Ingats!
