Good luck with your upcoming interview. If you got approved, sometimes the IO tells you right away, if not "and he/she wants a surprise" lol, as what I read in here, they usually says you will received the result in a few weeks (and usually its approved), or the IO can say it will be under review or worst its denial...And then, provided your approved, they will send you a welcome letter and then later on the GC itself.

Hi Lucie!

Our interview went as follows:

Arrived at office, put appointment letter in tray.

Sat and waited, called for interview.

Officer was pleasant and not intimidating at all.

He asked us to confirm our dates of birth, address etc - asked me a few questions about my husband's family, asked my husband a few questions about mine (things like "tell me about your father-in-law, what does he do for a living?" etc etc)

He asked about our wedding and looked at the photos we had brought - asked how many people attended, who the guests in the pics were (we had a very small wedding!)

He also asked for my Employment Card, Advance Parole papers, passport.

I took evidence of joint address (bank statements, insurance etc) but he wasn't interested in seeing it - you should definitely take it though as all interviews are different.

He took my I-94 and said I should receive my Green Card within 2 weeks!

Whole process took less than 15 minutes.

My advice is:

BE PREPARED - make sure you have all the necessary documents and also make sure you take copies of your wedding photos

Be organised - I think he liked the fact that I was able to instantly produce whatever he needed to see

Don't stress too much! Just be prepared and polite :)

Good luck and hope you have your GC soon!
