We went to our AOS interview on 10-16-08 and we have not received my wife's green card. I never filed form i-765 because my wife wasn't planning on working and I didn't think it was going to take this long to get her green card. I tried this morning to E-file form I-765 and when I got to the point of certifying the form it said that a payment of $340 was due. I thought that if you had filed form I-485 after july 2007 then the I-131 and I-765 were $0 fee?

What was outcome of the interview??

IF AOS was approved but you are waiting for the green-card you cannot get EAD, only NON-Residents can get EAD, a resident uses green-card or an I-551 stamp to show eligibility to work.

Did you get an I-551 stamp in passport? If not and you are approved for green-card, then do an info pass appointment for the I-551 stamp, this will allow work.
