Hi All,

Can someone help me with this I had the same situation, I mailed my package on 24th of Dec 08 to Texas Service center and has not received yet as the certified mail shown on their website, I am so worried, PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

Thanks

Hoping to alleviate some of your concerns - certified mail is one of the slowest ways to send mail. For myself I have had certified mail take up to a month to arrive. When I questioned USPS they said it is the most secure but seldom the fastest way to send anything. Add in the holidays and the volume of mail going back and forth and I think it is just taking a little bit longer. Your package will show up but if you are concerned you can certainly contact USPS and ask them why your parcel is taking so long. I am pretty sure it is because it is going by certified mail.

I mailed my application via certified mail and return receipt on Dec 10th. (Wednesday) It arrived in Nebraska Dec. 12 (Friday) and was forwarded to Phoenix Lockbox Center where it arrived Dec. 15th (Monday). I got my return receipt with a stamp from USCIS a few days later. So it was not slow at all and I could track my application.

P.S. But I certainly think that the holidays can be the reason why it's taking longer to get confirmation that your package has been delivered. It has to go through several stops and people didn't work during the holidays. So it might have been stuck in each place for a day or two and that adds up. I'm sure you'll receive a delivery confirmation soon, now that the holidays are over.
