So even if, let's just say the sun is to blame, or the position of the planet and the poles, well, that does not erase nor negate man's pollution-making destructive ways.

SHHHH!! Stop making sense Spirit. Just stop.

Did you send that report to Obama? If not, we all better do that, he is talking to Gore now about advice from him for our energy policies. I personally would rather ask for advice from my two month old granddaughter, she is a hell of a lot smarter than Gore.

We should use clean sources of energy and not polute. I have always said that. I probably recycle the most on VJ.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

There are DEAD SPOTS in the oceans. This can in no way be seen to be a natural phenomena or a good thing.

Of course there are. Just as some places have a lot more sealife than others. A lot of the deep ocean is fairly desolate compared to continental shelfs.

Desolate areas are not dead spots. Amazingly, there is a myriad of single cell organisms etc in the 'deep ocean's' they are not lifeless like the moon. The man made 'dead spots' are just that, and are in general on the surface of the oceans. However, head in sand - jam as you wish Alien.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I don't see how its difficult to understand. There is a natural process that regulates atmospheric conditions - as far as oxygen production etc goes; just as there are solar cycles that regulate temperature and climate.

The obvious question is whether the natural processes are thrown out of whack by human activities. You can see it very obviously in densely populated cities in the US and China which have atrocious smogs which have a tangible impact not only on the local ecosystem but also on local temperatures also. Couple that with strip mining, dumping, intensive farming and wholesale deforestation - its not implausible that it will have a negative effect on the planetary ecosystem.

Well about global warming yes it has always been around . now that some of the ice is melting they have found tools and things that they was using back then. So the wealther is just correcting what happened years ago! So what caused the ice age back then people was mining back then now then are finding the tools that they was using back then. And lol talking about the gases that are released in the air well what are you going to do run around putting corks up the cows butts . Study has shown that cows release so much gas into the air .So we can keep eating our hamburgers or use the corks lol. The world will always be changing every min of the day it has always done this > Good day lol just be happy and enjoy the life you have and love one another

We have to wait but our love for each other just gets that much stronger.

MORAN&ELAM always and forever inlove

The stories about cow emissions (among other things) get rather blown out of proportion, I think.

That said - as far as cows go - I guess it doesn't have anything whatsoever to with the massive (really massive) machinery of commercial breeding, slaughter and processing that makes up modern livestock farming... That might be what they're alluding to when they talk about "cows butts".

You'd think... but no... its just totally impossible that we are artificially tipping the natural cycles on this planet. Just can't be. Say it ain't so Paul.

Oh, the arrogance of humans...

Arrogance is something I wouldn't credit.

Can you imagine... some think it so and hence it doesn't exist... I'd again, not credit arrogance with such boldness.

Which is contrary to what Descartes quoted as Cogito ergo sum.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

How so? Man is gods steward, he can do no wrong

I wonder if the farmers in the Great Plains during the 1930 didn't attribute the Dust Bowl to anything that they did ;)
