In response to the RFE, (assuming you are living in separate households) send in (2) I-864's (with the supporting documentation)

One filled out and signed by your husband (primary sponsor)

One filled out and signed by your father-in-law (co-sponsor or joint sponsor)

If you are living in the same household, send in (1) I-864 and (1) I-864A (with the supporting documentation)

I-864 filled out and signed by your husband (primary sponsor)

I-864A filled out and signed by your father-in-law, check that he is the parent of the primary sponsor.

That should clear up this issue.

i don't get it.

Can i just ask....

So does this mean that my future husband puts e (1st of 2 joint spnsers)

Also, we will be living at the same add as sponser on filing but then in 2 months move to another state....how will this affect the form? He wont be depoendent on them but still living with them

As for your first question... the original petitioner will be the sponsor, the 2nd person who sponsors is the 1st joint sponsor.

For the other question, it doesn't matter, you will have to fill in everything as how it is now and according to the instructions, after moving to a new address, there is 30 days within the USCIS has to be notified. They do not want the new address as of yet as people can change their minds and then they got a new address where no sponsor is to be found ;)
