passport photos are only required if you are not in the US. Those in the US will get a biometrics appointment where they will take your photograph and do your fingerprints.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

nope, you only need to send in the passport photos if this applies to you..

Exception

Those who reside overseas pursuant to military or government orders, including conditional resident dependents residing overseas and listed under Part 5 of the form, must submit the following items with Form I-751: Two passport-style photos for applicants and dependents, regardless of age. and Two completed fingerprint cards (Form FD-258) for applicants and dependents between the ages of 14 and 79.

other then that your photos and fingerprints will be taken at your biometrics appointment...

it is not a big deal but it isn't required.... just a waste of money in my opinion.... that is what the 80 dollars is for... to pay for the fingerprints and passport pictures...

if they already have been sent with the package, then there really isn't anything you can do I guess...

even experienced lawyers make mistakes....

it is very clear in the instructions that passport photos are only required if you are overseas when you are applying...
