Wow - this is some thread huh! Who'd have thought peace would be something desirable? America is one of the strongest countries in the world in terms of weapons stock (it's current president being the owner of an enormous arms company - how ironic is that?) and armed forces capability. Could it be that finally, we're making steps in using that enormous might to actually create peace instead of avenging Daddy's failure in Iraq?

Yes... Obama has stated already that he isn't interested in lifting the silly embargo that does nothing but ironically uphold the very opposite of what it was supposed to topple.

Well, there doesn't necessarily have to be a war on for relations between two countries not to be peaceful.

Yes, Bush has an enormous hand in supplying weapons to America's miltary. Take a peek at Farenheit 9/11 - it's all based on documented fact. Very ironically (almost makes you laguh really), members of the Bin Laden family sat on the board until shortly after 9/11. I think Osamas brother was one of the board members of the company, actually. And America ought to use it's troops for peacekeeping purposes. I'll say no more about that.

And as far as I'm concerned, taking anybody and turning their image deliberately into that of a terrorist for absolutely no reason at all, just because his name sounds a little similar, is not just absurd, it's offensive and most certainly bigoted. It offended me, on a site where many people come from Middle Eastern countries to look for advice and have to put up with this kind of cr@p all the time in their daily lives. It's just plain dumb. It really does make me shake my head. I really sigh sometimes, living in a world where some people seem to love prolonging and drawing out negativity and hate.

Well it's a good thing I really don't care what people call me. There are bigger priorities in life for me now, like living peacefully.
