I am referring to anyone who believes that god plays a hand in the defense of the US against terrorists. PD has a point too, how far removed are those who believe in barbaric punishments from those self same terrorists? I'm rather baffled as to how one is to distinguish one from the other.

The frequently amazes me about a lot of these threads - how these "terrorists" are supposed to be the most evil people ever, and yet its hardly morally credible to call for judicial capital and corporal punishments that utilize medieval methods.

Well that sort of Christianity is really no such thing - its more like Old Testament Judaism.

In my opinion, the various terrorists are no more linked to each other than crazy people are linked to each other.

It's not like they have an "International Association of Terrorists", with membership cards, newsletters, and holiday parties.

Each terrorist group has it's own ideology or mere gripe to pick with a certain group.

All terrorist groups do not stem from an Islamic extremist hatred for the USA.

Let's not forget that "One man's terrorist, is another man's freedom fighter".

Given the definition of "terrorist" it could be said that there were many times in history

such a term would be fitting for the USA. However "HisStory" is a tale told from the side of the victor.

Going back to the term "terrorist", the second definition in the dictionary is

"2. a person who terrorizes or frightens others."

How many times have you gone to the airport to hear that we're in "alert condition orange?".

Given the state of the economy, I would say the media and our government are doing

far more terrorizing on a daily basis, than Al Queda has ever done.
