AOS interview, will they take our passport?

Dear all,

I wonder if we (ex- K-1 holder) will have to leave our passport after AOS interview. The problem is, I will hv to do TOEFL on Dec 20th (while my aos interview will be on Dec 8th). I am afraid they will not have returned my passport by then since I will need it for the TOEFL ID requirement on Dec 8th.
