Thanks so much for the encouragement & understanding. Everyone has a different journey I know... A girl I know from Naija asked me the other day was the family going to pay for my wedding attire. She was asking as she told me that is traditional. I laughed b/c I told her no my family in Africa (meaning his family) don't have any $ to help me, not even my SO. I know he feels bad as he tells me the man should be working hard like I do (and taking care of everything). On those days Im not feeling to strong yeah I get frustrated. I think as you said a lot of us have/had those feelings.. I juss try not to dwell on it & pray a lot.

Wow! That would have to be very hard to know you helped and your SO does not have his. I can only imagine. Sorry to hear that! My SO says that as well: for everything good it does not come easy.. I told him well you are my Good for sure!!! :) Thank you we are trying to be patient and hang in there. I wish the best for the both of you!! (F)

Sometimes it shows up as private, sometimes it shows my number. I think it's because they have a huge network and different carriers. I've used Pingo too but they charge you 85 cents a month and I find their connection isn't quite as reliable. I also use VIP and haven't had any problems with them.

I know just how you feel, this waiting is so difficult. My fiance and I helped an acquaintance navigate through this whole process at the same embassy and he had his visa within three weeks. It took a few days after the fact but it caused my poor honey to have a bit of a meltdown. :( It's really hard watching other people get their visas in a blink of an eye but... nothing good is ever easy, eh?

Hang in there.

I'm dealing with the same thing Omoba.. with prices. Its always something hidden. I can't stand when they say I will get a certain amount of min then when I call him its not what I was told. I want to call him 2 nite but I don't know what to use (online, calling card I get at market here is African Dream $5.00 55min, or African Dream online will give 1 hour) I juss don't know lol  We juss need to be together and that will settle this all!

Sierra Leone rates are madness. 33 c for Pingo and 29 c for Tel3. He will get PC access soon again and then we will yahoo voice talk. That is 25c.

If anyone ever finds anything cheaper without hidden fees let me know. <_< <_<

Hey I wanted to let you know I went to the site below & signed up.. and we will see if African King will work good for us! I'm waiting for them to call me. I started out with the $10.00 for 178 min. I will let you know how it goes.. Hope his network is ok 2 nite!

By the way I also use phonecardsavenue.com and African King was going to give less min then the site you gave me.. They are slick.. lol Thanks again!!!

Oh KK_Mine, I definetly know how you feel. Texting is the best but communication is so frustrating at times. I admire your strength. The other day I felt like giving up. I have soooo much stress here I just want to go home and talk to my honey but I find myself screaming at times...because he can't hear me. Or the call just won't go through. Or...he didn't answer cause he was asleep...because he's 6hours ahead! Ugh! It's like when you need him most he can't be there, even in the way you expect. Perpetual disappointment. But what can you do? I buy through callingcardsplus.com $2 for 30 mins if you buy the African King card. $10 about 3 hours.

longdistancelove I wanted to let you know that African King worked for us! Thanks again! But we did have a snag.. After about 1hr 1 min we got cut off. It was on his end as the counter on my phone was still going. Then I called him back and it took a few minutes away. Then the 2nd call did the same. We could have had 2hr 48min for the $10.00 but we only had 2hr 2min. But we were still happy! :) I even received the free bonus min for siging up.

We appreciate your info!!!!!

Yeah I think we all can relate as being in this type of relationship is one of a kind. It can put a toll on your emotions for both parties. He is thinking of moving out of Naija if all goes well. I told him I would def support that as it would benefit us Both! We shall see......
