I wonder if anyone is in the same boat as me. I've done the biometrics last year on Aug 07 and did the interview on Jan 08.

However, i've been waiting for almost a year for the interview decision and now my fingerprint has expired (over 15 mths) and i've to take it again.

Has anyone ever had this experience? please share. I wonder what would happen next to me and how long do I have to wait again.

Thanks and good luck to all of us.

In a similar boat once - not for Naturalization but for AOS. It took so long to process my AOS (nearly 2 years) that my biometrics expired. I re-did my biometrics and when the processing was completed on the AOS, I was approved. It should be the same processing for naturalization - you need to keep the fingerprints valid so when the processing is complete they will send you your notification. Sorry that it is taking so long - hope you hear something soon.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Biometric - fingerprint - result should be returned to USCIS within same day or next day from FBI when you go to ASC for biometric appointment.

Having multiple biometric tests doesn't mean that you have to take another interview.

First biometrics August 16, 2004; second biometrics February 6. 2006; AOS approval (no interview) May 24, 2006. Green card received June 2, 2006. I did not have an interview at all. Hope that helps.
