My daughter will be at her dad's tonight and tomorrow night but on Sunday I get her back and then we're going to have a small birthday party for her at my parents house....she turns 7 on Monday! I can't wait....my parents present to her is the dress she'll be wearing for our wedding and I can't wait for her to see it!!! lol! Then next weekend...Pat is FINALLY coming home! I'm hoping that the next 8 days just fly by..hehe!

Anyone have plans for the weekend?

Have a happy and safe one, y'all!! ;)

Hugs, Liz

Hey all....hope everyone is doing well!

I'm trying to finish up with the cleaning I need to do before Pat gets here....working every night on a different room..by bedtime I'm pooped! LOL!

Just four more days though...I can't wait to see him again! We will be just 6 days short of it being 8 months since we've seen each other!

Hopefully everyone is doing good and things are moving along smoothly!!!

Big hugs to you all,

Liz

Hi all,

I have a question on the documents that may be needed during interview at AMS consulate

As asked by the AMS consulate (that we should get along overselves):

Passport

Birth certificates

Photographs

Marriage/Divorce certificates

Evidence of relationship

Here are the other documents I can think of:

Letter of intent to marry from petitioner and beneficiary

Children custody papers

Bank balances

Have you taken more than that was asked by the consulate? If yes which? Has anyone taken along documents like letter of intent to marry/custody papers/bank balances and so on?

Appreciate any help.

Thanks.

Hi Innl....

When Pat went he took all of the things in the first list you posted and also the letter of intent, affidavit of support along with my paycheck stubs, letter from my manager at work stating I am full-time and what my base salary is and W2's. I think that is all he took with him....hope that helps!

I see you mention custody papers for the children.

What do you mean by those?

My son also came with me and by Dutch law, both parents will always be responsible for the children, even after they live with one parent after a divorce. I needed to get a written and notarized letter from my son's father in which he gave permission for my son to move permanently to the US with me.

It was well worth the 20 something euro to go to a notary with my ex because they gave extra attention to that at the consulate.

Liz, you should be so excited, he is almost there.

My ex disappeard about 9 years ago. I have looked after my son including every expense since then. My divorce was for abandonment. But there was no mention of custody because he isn't there. I am looking for all possible ways to convince consulate on this. When i spoke to consulate by telephone they seemed convinced but it still scares me :-)

Liz, I imagine how excited you are now. Two days is almost nothing -- time flies so fast (when it's not you who is waiting ;) ).

Maarten passed his medical yesterday. Now we are waiting for the interview Oct 19.. Maarten is making all arrangements to move as soon as visa comes. So, October wedding is still possible (in City Hall, we are planning the wedding with family and friends in April).

innl, we prepared what Liz said plus last 3 years tax transcript (but that could be overkill). When is your interview?

K1:

NOA1: 04/06/2009

NOA2: 07/23/2009

POE: 10/25/2009

Marriage: 10/30/2009

AOS & EAD:

Date sent: 11/23/2009

AOS & EAD NOA1: 12/01/2009

Biometrics done: 12/24/2009

Received RFE for I-693, although we included I-693 with AOS.

Replied to RFE with full medical

EAD approved: 01/22/2010

AOS Interview scheduled: 03/08/2010 Approved couple of days later

LOL...i'm actually pretty surprised, Anna, the days have been going fast this week. I figured it would drag by!

 YAY!! Glad Maarten got through the medical with no issues!!! The interview will be as easy as can be for him!!

Oh...I'm glad you mentioned the tax transcripts! I had forgotten about those!

Taking the tips given here i went to my family doctor for a couple of immunization injections but ended up paying for the medicine at the chemist as well as the cost of giving me the injection at the doctor. I am told it is not covered under insurance since it is on my request????? I haven't saved anything?

How did it go for you? Thanks.
