Hey guys, dropping in real fast.

We are here, doing great but very busy getting my son into school and a few other things that take time.

Besides that, it always amazes me how long it takes to get adjusted to time here.

But for now, I am happy, and looking into way to make this permanent.

More will follow as soon as I have my own pc.

Good luck for you all.

Anna - If you want to check on the status of Packet 4, you can always email the Consulate at this email address:

ImmigrantVisasAms@state.gov

I corresponded several times with them through this email address and they were VERY friendly and helpful They even sent me an email with a copy of the letter Pat received in his packet 4 BEFORE packet 4 arrived at his house...lol!

Lindsey - You could probably find out about your packet as well....they should have your file by now since your NOA2 was dated for last week!

Be sure to put your case number and your fiance's name .... and the NVC case number they want is the one that starts... AMS....

Liz, thanks! We will wait little bit more and contact them end of this week or early next week.

Lindsay, you are right. Consulate webpage says:

From August 21 through September 8, due to limited staffing the phone hours of the immigrant visa unit are limited to Monday and Wednesday morning only!

So I think they are on vacation :) Ok, I will look forward to the next week.

- Anna

Hello everyone!

3 weeks after sending packet 3 and no packet 4 yet.... Maarten called the consulate and they told him not to worry ;) What he understood, they will set an interview date sometime next week, maybe. Seems quite a long time compared to other timelines.

DeniseBill, did you send packet 3 yet?

Lindsey, how is your progress?

Our case is through NVC, but we are still waiting on packet three; it's been over a week now and we have yet to hear anything. Johnny sent them an e-mail so hopefully we'll hear something soon.

Hopefully you guys will get packet four soon!

Well...I am back home...and back to missing John like crazy. But we spent 2 awesome weeks together and even met Patrick...very nice guy! The fires, although in my area, were not too close to my ranch. This was great news because my ranch already burned down in a wildfire once...no need to revisit that nightmare.

Anyway...John is working on getting his house sold and coming home to me. I don't want anymore goodbyes....only hello's from him!!!

Hey all!

I am back in NL again after 6 weeks with my husband and a great "late"honeymoon to Maui which was beatiful and great!

Monday i have my medical appointment and X-ray. So I have to go to Amsterdam. I am going with my car so my mom and I can make a day in Amsterdam (we never did) (had to make an appointment for the x-ray too, can not walk in)

Where did everyone park if they went by car?

I know i can park by the concertgebouw which is expensive.

But i know there is a transferium which is nice when you make a day at Amsterdam, did anyone of you use that??? Which one? There are 3 options!

And how long did it take you from the date of interview till you got your passport with visa back?

Everyone congrats with approvals!!!

My husband can't go with to the interview because he is in training... hope it goes well!

Blu, glad you still have your ranch! The fires were 30 minutes away from our house. We drove trough antelope valley on sunday and saw the flames on the tops of the mountains!

Peet, great you are in the USA now! Good luck with settling down!

When is Pat going to USA Liz? > just saw your timeline, its 10/10 wooah great!

I hope i get my visa before Nov. 7 so i can go to the Marine corps ball! (But my interview is Sept. 29)

Take care! Good luck!

Hi!

This is what we did for parking...

The consulate is at the Museumplein and there's a parking garage under the Museumplein. As far as I can remember, it also wasn't that expensive. We used his Tom Tom. You can also look online for parking near Museumplein and it will direct you. Then it was a short walk to the Consulate. Then, across the square, there is a little place to get something to eat or drink.

Good Luck.

Hi guys, hope every one is ok.

We are settling in here, son is going to school for the second week now, first time school bus. All new things are exiting and a bit scary, but he is doing great.

This week we are going to try to get my SSN, from what I understand that should be ok now.

We do have some kind of insurance now, but I am not too happy about it, but with the SSN done at least Jack can add me to his.

Unfortunately Dennis won't get his until we did AOS, at least, that is how I understand it.

Good luck Ri, it should be easy today.

Have a nice day in A'dam.

We had to go by train and so no time to walk around in A'dam. Would have loved to though.

Petra
