Good day all.......

If I am in the USA on a K-3 Visa........do I still need to apply for a I-131 travel document if I need to travel to my home country, South Africa in February.

Second.......where do I find my alien number which is required on the documents for applying for AOS?

Kind Regards.

No, a K-3 is a multiple entry visa... as long as it is unexpired you can re-enter using only the K-3

Alien number is on NOA approval notice... sometimes on the visa itself... sometimes on your I-94... begins with "A"

YMMV

Second.......where do I find my alien number which is required on the documents for applying for AOS? A# (Alien Registration Number) can be found on your visa, or on you I-797 (Approval Notice).

Kind Regards.

Thank you so much.......your assistance is so valuable.

My daughter is in the US with me on a K-4 visa.(she is 14)........will her Alien number be the same as mine? as she was included in my I 130 application?

Do I need to complete a G325a, I 485 and I 864 for her too when we do the AOS?

Thank you.

An Alien number is unique and assigned to each alien and therefore is or will be different

She was included on your I-129F but not your I-130.... She will need her own I-130 in order to adjust status from K-4... So she will need an I-130 (if not previously submitted)/I-485/I-864 et al...

Thank you very much,

Am I then right if I say we will need to submit an I-130 for her and only once it is approved we can do the AOS for her? or can we submit the I-130 together with the documents for the AOS.......

This is so confusing........the whole time I thought she was automatically included with me......

thank you for the help.......

I would have to read the instructions... you might be better served if you did that rather than get it second hand....

thank you........I did read the I-130 instructions......I was just wondering, since she is a child, if I should include things such as our marriage certificate, my birt certificate, that of my husband, proof of marriage and such.......but I guess I'll do that anyway.......rather more info than not enough.

Thanks for your help
