to be sure, just try to get cenmar for you and your husband. it will take 1-2 weeks to be delivered to you, you don't want to cause any delay on your visa right? you can apply it online at e-census.

If you are referring to a "CENOMAR" Certificate of No Marriage, think about this carefully. On the one hand you have provided proof in YOU ARE MARRIED the form of a "Marriage Certificate" issued by a PI government entity. Now you are suggesting that same government entity will provide you a Certificate of No Marriage to prove you are NOT MARRIED, when you obviously are.

CENOMAR is for fiance(e) K1 visas, not for K3, CR1 or IR1 as those applicants ARE MARRIED.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

I jst had my CR1 visa interview last nov. 26, 2008 the consul asked me if i have the CENOMAR i told her that i dont have a copies of it with me because we already submit the CENOMAR when we filed for marriage license.. Ive just found out that the reason they were asking for it for document verification since DELBROS does not carries the DOCUMENT VERIFICATION anymore due to conflicts and complaints.. the consul gave me INA 221g to submit the CENOMAR or MArriage index..

my husband's interview was last Nov 18. the pre-screener asked for the marriage index which was the CENMAR. this took the place of the Document Verification which was causing all the backlogs at the USEM. CENMAR is for the K3/CR1/IR1 filers and CENOMAR is for the K1 filers. after the interview, my husband got his visa delivered to iloilo in 2 days!

CENOMAR/CENMAR= is for K and CR/IR visas. If you are single/never been married, NSO will release the CRS Form No.4 (CENOMAR) which will state that your name does not appear in their National Indeces of Marriages based on the records of marriages enrolled in their data base as of ___ (date).

For those who are married/ been married (annulled)= NSO will release the CRS Form No. 5 (Advisory on Marriages). All marriages (present/prior) will appear here with the date and place of marriage, and name of bride and groom.

It would be better to have this form for your interview. They may or may not ask for it, but better to be prepared than to return to USEM and submit additional documents. Good luck and God Bless.
