After you get NOA2 the packet is sent to NVC where it is assigned a new case number. A K1 visa at NVC usually stays there only a few days before it is sent out to the embassy because all the back ground checks where done at the service center. They send both a electronic file and the case file to the embassy. The standard answer for the embassy getting the pettion I believe is about 2 weeks but I have noticed that usually about 5 to 7 days the embassy has the shipped packet. Now as far as the embassy shipping out the packets it all depends on the individual embassy some are much faster than others. I hope this helps good luck to you :)

Be aware that sometimes NVC will randomly pull cases and send them into checks before shipping them to the prospective Embassies. This may delay things anywhere up to a week to a few months.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
