Hello Guys,

I am in the process of filling out the G-325 form and don't know the birthdate and location of my father and unable to contact anyone that may know including my mother, which is deceased. All I know is the his birth year and birth place. What should I state on the form?

Thank you for your help.

If you don't know, then state "Unknown."

If you are a US Citizen and your parents were married, you *might* be able to get his exact DOB from their marriage certificate. I wouldn't worry about it too much, though. For sure it won't be the first time they've encountered that situation.

Good luck!

Thank you, I appreciate your response. I’m trying to obtain my parents marriage certificate to see if that helps.
