When you buy ticket online, they always have tax or what you called (EVAT) in the Philippines.. We always buy ticket online on all of our travel and the tax is included in the total amount of airline ticket.

I believe we pay travel tax when we are coming back to the Philippines.. But when leaving, going to the US, you don't have to pay anything. Actually travel tax is what they called Balik Mangagawa fee, and foreigners have to pay as well.

When we went home last June, my husband and son pays travel tax in the immigration section at the airport in Manila.

You should always bring pocket money anywhere you go, just in case.

The tax that you pay with the ticket is purely just retail sales tax, it is not travel tax.

I know foreigners pay 1750 at the airport. I don't know if Filipinos who are leaving the country have to pay. I assume everyone pays the travel tax (some call it airport exit tax). Since you will be "exiting" the airport, you should be prepared to pay it. I'm sure if kids under a certain age are exempt.

I tried to find information about this on a website for the airport, but the airport website is very lame.

If the ticket was purchased thru a travel agency, travel tax is often included. If the ticket was purchased online especially if it'a a foreign website, then most probably travel tax is not included. There is a kiosk at the terminal wherein the staff their can provide assistance to you.

Actually you will be told if you are to pay. Usually the tickets that has been purchase online here in the US are ask to pay for it. If I were you to avoid running back and forth... bring enough money converted in peso but well some says you can pay it in dollar. Well anyway, I paid tax last time I left in peso.

Don't be confused that's just nothing. Simple and Easy! After paying you can left or if not to pay then much better!

Good luck!!

If your ticket was purchased abroad and you are not tax exempt (you’re probably not), you’ll have to pay a travel tax at the Philippine Tourism Authority (PTA) Counter prior to check-in. The price keeps going up, but figure on 2,000 pesos if you’re a coach passenger and 3,000 pesos if you’re a first class type. Have a Safe journey...

"Our Wedding Prayer"

Lord, help us to remember when we first met,and the strong love that grew between us.

To work the love into practical things so nothing can divide us

Grant us a Love that grows stronger with each passing year.

We ask for words both kind and loving

and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Guide us to overcome every challenge

and keep our dreams pure to each other always.

Dear Lord,we put our marriage into Your hands.Amen

If your heart acquires strength, you will be able to remove blemishes from others without thinking evil of them.

Hello sis, there's usually a counter near the check in area. You will pay either right before you check in or right after you check in. If it's immigration travel tax it will be paid before they issue you a boarding pass. It's usually located near the check in area. Don't worry, they will show you if you need help.

For Travel tax you can inquire this Tel. No.879-6038. I have a friend working in NAIA T-2 ,she gave me this number when my fiance left Phils. Hope it helps! Have a safe travel soon. God bless!

Just carry extra money just in case you have to pay.

Don't make a crisis out of it.....

If you check-in your bag, the personnel at the counter will tell you if you need to pay the travel tax or not. Just bring extra money (less than Php 2000 per adult). If you need to pay, just ask the personnel the location of the booth where you need to pay your travel tax.

Go to the travel tax booth, present your ticket and passport. Pay the travel tax. The personnel at the counter should wait for you to get back to complete your check in. No need to line up again.

Just dont forget your passport from the travel tax booth.. :)

Dont worry to much...
