Police Certificate in INDIA. Do I have to wait after NOA2 before applying

Folks:

Almost 2 months since my NOA1. Making a trip back to visit my fiancee in December. Needless to say, really excited and looking forward to it.

Have a question on the Police certificate. Does my fiancee need to wait till I have my NOA2 before she can apply? Can I apply for that now before NOA2. How long is the certificate valid ? 6 mos/1 year? Does anyone know. Also, can someone tell me what the process is in India to apply for that ?

I am planning to take the entire K1 packet with me. Was wondering, anything else I should take with me.

1) Should I take the notarized Affidavit of Support form with supporting documentation now or is it too early.

2) Fiance letter of Intent: I would like to give her that while I am there. Understand that needs to be closer to the Interview. Expecting and hoping the K1 interivew will be sometime in March next year (keeping my fingers crossed). Does it hurt to have the letter of intent ready now and post date it.

What else should I take with me since I am making a trip.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

9/11/2008 – mailed I-129F

9/12/2008 – Received at VSC/NOA 1 sent (mail stamp-9/16)

9/15/2008 – check cashed

9/19/2008 –Received NOA1

12/28/2008 – Received NOA2 Approval email from CRIS

01/06/2009 – Left NVC for Mumbai Consulate

01/07/2009 – Received NVC confirmation letter in the mail

01/08/2009 – Mumbai Consulate received file electronically and sent packet 3 (info from DOS)

01/10/2009 – Mumbai Consulate received file (hard copy) from NVC (DHL tracking)

01/19/2009 – Overnighted packet 3 (still did not receive receive pkt 3 from Mumbai)

01/20/2009 – Packet 3 arrives at Mumbai Consulate

01/23/2009 – called DOS and was informed that packet 4 has been sent and interview date set.

01/24/2009 – Received hard copy of packet 3 (postmark Jan 20). Too late. Already sent packet 3 on Jan 19.

02/02/09 – Received Packet 4

02/04/09 – Submitted documents at the VFS Kolkata Office

02/06/09 - Medicals completed

03/02/2009 – BIG DAY, i.e., Interview Date

03/03/2009 - Visa received in mail

04/09/2009 - POE

AOS

04/17/2009 - CIVIL

6/16/2009 - Mailed AOS package

6/19/2009 - NOA1

7/08/2009 - AOS transferred to CSC

7/17/2009 - Biometrics appointment, EAD case Touched

8/05/2009 - EAD card production ordered, AP approved !!!!

ROC

08/27/2011 - Mailed ROC packageCIVIL

08/29/2011 - NOA1

09/19/2011 - Early Bio (scheduled date 10/03/2011)

We are just finished our second month too and we wondering pretty well the same things you were. He is coming to see my for Christmas (we thought that would be easier then me going and risking not getting in) He's bringing the initial package. I'll wait to see what responses you get. We were hoping that he can get his letter from his employer, paystubs, 2nd letter of intent, etc and bring them with him. We can wait for answers together!! LOL

I would say...u should wait untill u get actual .interview appointment from Mumbai Embassy...so don't wait to get your NOA2..

When you get packet 4 then start to get PCC. This only might take 1-2 week to get. so don't worry..for that now.

They people not going to issue your Police Certificate in INDIA without haveing your actual interview appointment latter.and Police Certificate in INDIA is valid only six month around visa get stamped in passport.

PASSES.. Naturalization Interview on 3 year base 07/02/2012 at 8:25am

Scheduled Oath Ceremony: On August 28th Received Email form USCIS, my oath ceremony scheduled.

Waiting for Oath Ceremony letter.

Called USCIS about oath ceremony letter :09/10/2012 (where is my oath letter)

called again USCIS about oath ceremony letter :09/13/2012 (got locaton an time on phone thanks God)

Finally received oath ceremony letter:09/19/2012(was sent on 09/17/2012)

Oathe Ceremony was on: 09/21/2012 at 8:00am (little Rock, Arkansas)

Finally I am U.S. Citizen

Crazy and Mad - Have you gotten your PCC or have you actually tried getting it and are your comments based on past experience. Couldn't follow your train of thoughts from your comments. Pls explain.

I am like classicrock ...want to see if I can get the PCC process kick started. I have seen ppl take over 1 month to get those. Also, if we need to collect it from multiple cities...it takes time, waiting until Pcaket 4 will be cuttin in close. Would it not? Also, how long does it take to get it from the passport office?

How long is the PCC valid - the one from police station, one from PP office?
