Well Monteal got my app from nvc on Monday, so i'm guessing my packet 3 will be in a couple weeks..then i'm figureing my interview will only be earliest March. 1 year compared to the 3 months i was originally told..lol.

And steph, i would not worry about being moody. David got to see sides of me i did not even know existed during this whole process. And then just when you think your almsot at the finish line you find out your still screwed over by delays at Montreal as opposed to Vancouver.

Ah well..c'est la vie eh?

Hehe, I'm not too worried. He wasn't upset or angry or anything with me. He was just concerned that he didn't know how to make me be happy again, but now that the stress of that is over I'm soooo much better again. And then I get a text tonight saying hes picking out clothes for the civil and he wants my opinion on color combinations. GOD I LOVE MY MAN!

Just popping in...I haven't been on here in this thread since waiting for my interview....but just wanted to say good luck to all :)

Recent time lines may seem discouraging, but anything is possible.

Sometimes some crazy scheduling frenzy happens and you could get a date pretty fast...or end up waiting a while...hang in there :)

If it's any encouragement... I sent my packet 3 in back in March and got scheduled within 3 weeks!!!! I got scheduled with people that were waiting all the way back from Nov and Dec of the previous year...so although they waited 4 months, a whole group of us only waited 2-4 weeks! My interview was exactly 6 weeks after they rec'd my packet 3...and that went for a whole bunch of us....i've been lucky...and so many others have as well...so yes it could be long...but miracles do happen...hang in there guys and I hope Montreal has a 'schedule-palooza' and that you are all living in the US by the next time I pop in here :)

Laura, is your fiancee on active duty? You can get an expedited interview if he is.

He is active duty but doesn't have orders to be deployed any time soon. Although we all know that can change at any moment... I was told the same thing as Colleens, that he would have to have deployment orders for any type of expedition but I am curious to know if they expedite interviews for active duty.

I think our processing at vermont was possibly hurried through. It was faster than most other timelines i've seen. I was was actually going to ask about this just the other day since more troops have been ordered to afghanistan since there was talk his unit might be one sent over. It would be good to know of a way to expedite if he did get orders.

I am currently waiting for my packet 3 to come from Montreal. I have been waiting over 2 months now for it. It was sent to my old address even though my fiance informed the NVC of my new one. So I emailed Montreal and they said they would send a new packet, this was almost 3 weeks ago. And I have been emailing everyday to try and get a response from them when they sent out the second packet. Does anyone know of a phone number where I could actually talk to someone instead of emailing. Thanks!

Hi steflovesbran, unfortunately the only way of getting in touch with the Montreal consulate is via email. Although, you can try calling the NVC and talk to them about your situation, I don't know whether that might help or not. It usually takes about 7-8 days for the packet-3 to arrive, once it is dispatched from Montreal. I really hope you get your packet-3 soon !

I changed my address when it was still at USCIS. Called twice and sent in a letter. They even sent me a letter stated that my address was updated in their system. We called yet AGAIN to confirm this. They apparently were full of sh!t.

Montreal STILL sent it to the wrong address. Calling NVC only confirmed that it was never updated and my packet 3 was indeed sent to my old address. Emailing Montreal is your only option unfortunately.

I called DOS and Montreal logged my packet 3 the day after they received it. Just a waitin' on that interview..

Question! Doesn't Montreal automatically extend, reissue, or whatever it is they do to NOA2s that have an expiring NOA2? My expiration(I'm making it sound like milk, LOL) is 2/27/2010. So if I dont have my interview before that they'll have to push it back. Riggghhhhttt?
