The housing failure and collapse of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac was not the Republican's fault. It was not the idea of Republican's to give people mortgages they clearly couldn't afford. It was the idea of the Democrats. Furthermore, Barney Frank is the chairman of the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd is the chairman of the United States Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, BOTH DEMOCRATS...

Due to the effort in the US to be completely "PI" the Democrats pushed forward with house mortgage oppurtunites..most notably the First Time Home Buyer Loan. Which did away with a down payment, featured ARMs, and highlighted seperating mortgage, interest, and escrow. This made a motrgage look so small and nice. Taking advantage of these first time home buyers..they were presented with ARMs. Taking advantage of their ignorance.

This led to lenders pushing these loans and expanding them in whatever capcity they could. Further pushing for ARMs. Thus equaling people being unable to make they payments when interest rates increaed. equaling forclosure.

And it is the Democrats...Yes, Franks and Dodd who pushed for these type of loans.

So, yes we are "PI" to a fault in this country. In an effort to give minority buyers an oppurtunity to purchase a home..they were set up by the Democrats and failed to follow through.

The Democrats eve disemfranchised the people of Florida and Michigan in their own primaries. You can thank Howard Dean for that.

$200,000? It started off at $300,000. Then it dropped for most of the campaign to $250,000. Then Barack changed his mind to $200,000. Then Biden said $150,000. The other day Governor Richardson said $125,000!!! It keeps getting lower and lower....Look at the records, Barack voted to raise taxes on families making $42,000 a year!!! That is what Democrats do, they raise taxes so they can increase the size of government....

And might I add that you are forgetting about the double in capital gains tax... There are a lot of middle class families that invest in the market. Say they report a $10,000 capital gain for the year, McCain's plan is to tax it 7.5-15%, Obama's is to tax it 25-30%.
