I've posted before that since I filled out the Adjustment of Status request for my husband I have not heard a single peep from immigration. Low and behold, the other day a letter showed up in my mail box with a date for an interview to remove conditions. Unfortunately I had not been to the PO box in weeks and the date for the appointment has gone by. The curious thing is that this is the first time I have ever been asked to come in for an interview and the second thing is that I didn't not file to remove conditions. Of course it asks me to bring in all the information to prove that we have a relationship ...yada yada but we are not together and don't live together. Anyone have this happen to them before?

I'm confused. Your timeline indicates that you did file to lift conditions in January 2008 and the biometrics appointment was in April.

As far as not having to interview before, some K1 applicants do not have to be interviewed at the AOS stage. That doesn't mean they won't be interviewed at the ROC stage, however.

I listed the lifting of conditions in the timeline, but I didn't apply for it nor was I part of it. I found out after the fact that he had sent in the application, but I never saw it, didn't sign it and don't know what pieces of evidence he submitted. I think he received a NOA1 only because he is still working. Hope this helps further

I answered in the subbies forum :)

Gracias Zee, I'm thinking that your are totally correct in this. We'll have to see how it all works out. I just hope he doesn't pop up at my job creating a scene if things don't go the way he has been planning. Hugs
