ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, on a "demoralized" McCain campaign: "Palin is going to be the most vivid chapter of the McCain campaign's post-mortem. … Those loyal to McCain believe they have been unfairly blamed for over-handling Palin. They say they did the best they could with what they got."

...

A top McCain adviser one-ups the priceless “diva” description, calling her "a whack job."

Like I said... I bet they're glad they picked her.

and again I say Mavi... I dunno how much she is REALLY hurting the campaign. If she were such a disaster McCain would be WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY behind in the polls. I guess McCain supporters are hoping she'll just vanish into the background when he's elected?

Personally I don't care about her affect on polls, and I never really cared about her political party. The fact is she has such terribly stupid and overly idealistic ways of going about problems Americans are facing or are going to be facing, it shows me she only has a half-hearted interest in representing every citizen, and rather talks to them like they are idiots as well. The smirk-and-wink is really a giveaway that she thinks people are dumb enough to fall for these stump speeches she gives while embarrassing herself on the actual issues like the economy, housing crisis, war in Iraq, and so on.

Millions of people will cast a vote in her direction though...

Not sure about that. Guessing by the latest round of desperate stumping, my view is that the campaign is acting out of a foregone conclusion that enough damage has been done among many other factors other than just Gov. Palin. As for the poll numbers themselves. How much can we rely on them? Lets remember that there's plenty polarization with likely voters and people will vote for whom they will vote for.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

You dance with the guy that brung ya. If she wants to dance to her own drum after the election, fine, but McCain has enough friends to damage her political chances in the coming years if she doesn't stay on message and stand by him now.

I'm just skeptical...

Better to prepare myself for the worst...and not be disappointed, than the other way around.

I like your attitude. I am not really that worried about things one way or another. With my option though I do see things actually improving under an Obama presidency. You know that already though.
