Interview to visa is hand?

How long after the K-1 interview does it typically take to receive your visa? Providing that everything is in proper order! Do they mail this to my fiancee's home or can she pick this up?

That depends on the Consulate but the average is 2 days to pick it up, some consulates will mail the passport back to you but that takes a bit longer, around a week.

How will she be notified of approval or denial as she will not be at her home during this interview process?

They´ll tell her at the interview if she´s approved or not.

She should be told on the spot it she is approved or denied, or if she is given a 221g it could be a week or months until she gets her visa. It depends on the Consulate and how the interview goes.

Yes, but it will take some time to find all the correct dates. I can tell you that we filed in Feb 06 and she has interview in Moscow on July 20th. We have no prob's as of yet and dont intend to !!!! ;-)

I´m not positive on this but a 221g is when you go into administrative review.

221g is a section of the INA that essentially says the visa application cannot be approved at the moment. There could be any number of reasons that might fall into two general categories:

- you need to provide us with more information so that we can make a decision, or

- we need to take more time to review the information that you have provided.

It does not necessarily mean administrative review, although it might.
