stupid and terrible...

How do you know? Sounds like there isn't enough details to know one way or the other. Learn the facts and then decide. Don't assume the USA is automatically the villian.

Maybe I should ask...why do you assume the USA is the villian? Yes indeed.

Guess there's no point in asking a question if you're going to go ahead and answer it.

Anyways, the U.S. has always been agnostic regarding territory issues, especially in recent times, like with Abkhazia, South Ossetia, and of course in dealing with Pakistan. Yep, who would dare assume the U.S. might be guilty on this one? *waves the flag and salutes*

Sounds like you have already made up your mind too. Carry on.

Yeah, it can't be logical, either, it's not like the U.S. has repeatedly done sh!t that would indicate it isn't respectful of other nations/territories. I also suppose you wouldn't be the type to assume that an illegal immigrant is Hispanic. Carry on.

No, I wouldn't...but 80%+ of illegal aliens in the USA are Hispanic. The stats are there for viewing, but some people can't handle the truth. Oh. well. Ignorance is bliss. Carry on.

Again, it's not like the U.S. hasn't played the role of favoritism in territory disputes and bombing into a sovereign nation that was supposed to be it's ally. But let's not consider the stats of this, lets just wait until the "facts" come out. Like the other "facts" were made up. You freedom fries patriots crack me up.

Freedom fries patriot? What kind of acid are you tripping on? I don't know what you are trying to say here. My country right or wrong? Isn't that a bit open to supposition? It looks like no matter what happens until Bush is gone is automatically no good no matter what the facts are. Sounds like mob rule. Heaven know that mobs know best.

Anyway, Syria isn't exactly an ally of the USA. Far from it. Not that I advocate bombing anyone just for sh*ts and giggles, but I'll reserve judgement until I know more about what went down and why. I don't just assume the worst because that's what is hip and what the mob has decided the position should be.

The US can't just willy-nilly keep crossing borders. It just can't. Even in the name of 'justice'. Justice isn't decided at the end of barrel.

That's what sovereignity is about, you now?

Another decider that the USA is automatically the villain. Maybe you are privy to debriefings that other mere members of the public (such as myself) are barred from knowing? OK. PM me a detailed report on the incident from reliable sources and then I'll come to your point of view if the facts warrant. Otherwise you are just making grand pronouncements about things you know zip about. Am I right or wrong? You have already made your opinion without knowing all the facts?

In that case you are just making predjudices statements based on nothing but your own predjudices. Maybe the mob will buy it, but I don't.

What are the facts? What are "the stats"? The only logic you're arguing against here is your own.

I do believe folks lurking in the background can decide for themselves after reading the thread. So far your logic hasn't won the day on this one. At least not with me. Opinions are like azzholes...everbody has one and all of them stink. I'll go with the facts and stats any day of the week. Your opinions don't carry much weight with me. Maybe the mob will buy your opinion if it fits their preconceived agenda. If enough people say it's so than it must be so? OK. Welcome to the brave new world. Power to the people!

i read on yahoo news that the army stated they where having problems containing that boarder to stop the the what ever from coming into iraq so they stated they would take care of the problem them self after bombing they set down and fired shots seems to me we cant keep out or any sovereign country even iraq was until we invaded it

This is most certainly mutual.

.. of course, when you've run out of an argument, against yourself no less, then just blame "the mob", and make it like everyone else has an agenda but you.

Yes, I can totally see how 4 children, 2 women and 1 man could have been the dreaded Al Qaida.

Read the BBC news on it and Yahoo (longer story) too.

May be I should cut and paste it here before it "disappears".

peejay is right.

As far as I can tell, the facts aren't in yet, except from a Syrian government-run news agency.

If al Qaeda really was there, borders don't matter. We go after countries that harbor terrorists - it's official policy. Iraq was a diversion but maybe this is not?

I am inclined to think cynically and assume this is some kind of evil Bush-Cheney plot, but until I know more I'm gonna withhold judgment.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.
