Chicago Area VJ Meet-Up - Important Updates

After a bit of an issue with Pizzaria Uno, I found a more accomodating pizza joing for the meet-up.

This location is extremely easy to find...it is 1/2 block east on Superior street right off of Michigan Avenue. If you have any issues with directions please PM me and I'll be happy to help you out.

The cost per person is $21.00. This is inclusive of pizza, salad, soft drinks/coffee/tea, cookies tax and gratituity. Alcoholic beverages will be paid at your own expense...or if anyone is up for it we can hit up a local bar after the party and just have a drink or two then.

As of right now the head count is at roughly 20 people...I have until Friday, October 31st to get a final headcount into Gino's so PLEASE let me know if you are attending.

Also, if you plan on bringing children Gino's can accomodate a high chair.

There are free trolleys from Union Station to Michigan Avenue. Here is the info I found below:

* 131 W. Van Buren Street, Metra LaSalle Street Station

* 490 W. Adams Street, Metra Union Station

* 5 N. Canal Street, Metra Ogilvie Station

* 25 E. Washington Street (just east of State Street), Macy’s and Millennium Park

* 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Boulevard Towers/Illinois Center

* 445 N. Michigan Avenue, Tribune Tower

* 811 N. Michigan Avenue, Water Tower Park and Park Hyatt hotel

* 500 N. Michigan Avenue, Nordstrom - North Bridge

* 222 N. Michigan Avenue, Cultural Center

* 6 S. State Street, Office Depot and Millennium Park

* 112 S. State Street, Palmer House

* Returns to LaSalle, Union and Ogilvie stations

Water Tower Park is at the corner of Michigan and Chicago. What you want to do is from the that corner, walk south one block (in the opposite direction of Water Tower Place mall) to Superior Street. Cross Michigan Avenue going east (left) and walk down Superior about 1/2 block. Gino's East is the restaurant directly behind the Neiman Marcus store.
