Hi guys,

I would like to thank all of you who helped me through this. For those who dont know, I am a Canadian living in NYC with my husband and had just sent in the MEGA package....I-130/I-485/I-693/I-864/I765....

What do I do know besides WAITING...Is there a way to look the application progress online? I see some of you writing TOUCH and NOA1? what does that mean?

any helpful tips to get me through this?

THANKS again,

Richmond Hill

You will receive several I-797s in the mail - receipts for your petition/applications. After you receive them, you MAY be able to see your case status online, you may not. You can keep checking the USCIS website.

NOA = Notice Of Action = I-797

If, once your cases show up online, you sign up on the USCIS website, you can see where your case was last updated - that is referred to as a 'touch'.

Just so you know, some cases never show up online. I could see my I-130, but not my I-485 until I moved and sent in a change of address. Some people say it will update at biometrics, and sometimes it does, but not for me. We've had our interview, but our case has still not updated since the change of address nearly 3 months ago.
