Hey Ladies,

I'm back from Guyana and my hubby is with me. The embassy was just fine. They interviewed us separately. My husband went first and then they asked me the same questions they asked him. Nothing offensive at all, just when and how we met, how many times did I visit after we got married, if it was my 1st time there when we met, I explained that we had a small wedding and then a big vow renewal so she asked who was there...that kind of stuff. My husband answered the questions and then some and even got to show some wedding pictures. He was in there for like 15 minutes and I almost lost my mind. But we got through it...thank God!

So ladies...there is hope!!!

Still praying for you all...and I will do my best to continue to post here

By the time me and Mun h ave our interview we would have been together for 2 years and married for one. But we didn't have a wedding - we just signed the papers. He doesn't want a wedding in guyana. He wants to have our wedding here and I do too. All my family is here. I barely have pictures of us on the day we signed the papers - just us signing the papers. I really didnt' look at it like anything because I'm still waiting for my real wedding. What are they gonna ask us? See - these are things that scare me.

And we got married in October, I went back in November, and I can't go back till Sept time. I HAVE NO MONEY!!!! and I cna't really leave my job now.

I don't know anymore...............

Where are you ladies? I am feeling lonely here. :crying:

Right here. I am filling out the I-130 Form. I am going to mail it off by April 5th that way by the time they receive it our 2 yrs anniversay would of passed. How are u doing? 1 more week to go before your hubby pick up his visa you must be getting really excited by now. I agree in regards to the embassy.

Hey,

Glad to see you are on the move and your wait should not be too long plus after two years, he is going to get the 10 year green card. That will save you from having to do the whole removal of conditions thing. I am hoping that with us because we have a child together and we are so close to our second year anniversary that they will just grant us the 10 year green card but I doubt it. Oh well. I am actually not excited anymore, just a little frustrated because he won't set a date for his daparture until Wednesday. It's frustrating cause i want to start making some plans but cannot. Not really. Men. Grr. Oh well.

Mrs. Rowe...ahhhhh. I know it maybe a bit frustrating because you have all these plans for your future that is on hold at the moment. When we are here we can't understand why because the heart wants what the heart wants and we have no control over it. However, it will all come together shortly. I pray to god that our wait "mine & suz" wouldn't be too long. It exactly why I am waiting after our 2 year anniversary which is 3 weeks and a few days before I mail it off which will make us eligible for the 10 years GC.

Oneka I am glad you are home with the hubby.

Suz...I understand what you mean when you say you can't leave your job right now at least you will be able to go for September and the way the months are flying by it will be here sooner than you know. I came back from there only October, I cannot plan a trip right now because I have to coordinate time off with both jobs and my weekend manager she can be a bit difficult at time. It is understandable that you would want to do you wedding here where you will have all of your family members. All they need is more proof than we had before, I found a website to by phone cards that tells you #call from, #call to, time and date of call and duration, if you need it let me know.

Oneka and Mrs. Rowe than you for sticking around here with us....much appreciated.

Don't judge life by one different season. Perserve through the difficult patches and better time are sure to come in time. Always remember that:

(2) Trials keeps you strong.

(3) Failures keeps us humble.

Nope!! I had already gotten guidance about it, it just that it had slipped my mind that why I was thanking you for the reminder...what I was also told is to get property and bank account with both of our names.

Thank you for being concerned suz...

Hey Ladies,

I guess Onekea is "honeymooning". Come on out you. Give the husband a two minute break to say hi to us. :bonk::rofl:

Nikki,

Suz is right. You do not want them to see you recieving money from your husband. It's going to look bad. If you are going to do the bank thing, it may be easier to do in Guyana. You won't be able to add his name to a mortgage or bank account here.

Suz,

for NVC for the Affidavit of support, i sent in my job letter that stated my salary and who were beneficiaries of my life insurance (husband and daughter), pay stubs from the last six months and my tax transcript for the past three years. No W-2s. I included a cover letter and labled each section that had everything.

For my husband's DS230, he included our marraige certificate, his birthcertificate, his divorce decree but he didn't realize he sent a copy of the divorce decree so he had to send that aftrer an RFE, police certificate, NVC said they did not need my birthcertificate but the embassy actually needed it. i believe he also had to send two passport sized photographs as well.

I know we miss Oneka...she is probably trying to get the husband settle in...Mrs. Rowe its only time before we have to send and SOS out for you too. Well did the hubby give you a date when he will be travelling. I was thinking about something last night, wondering how I would feel if someone told me, that I had to move to another state and give up my life here that would be hard because I have been living in this city for so long, these men and women that we sponsoring, they are giving up so much to come here to be with us....WOW

No...she is not right...I do understand both of your point of views because its exactly what I was thinking, when I had my consultation with an attorney who was very truthful with me, and I mentiond that to her, she said I quote "way better than when the sponsors are doing it". Thanks for your concerns.

Suz...we are doing the bank accounts & property stuff from GT end because as you rightfully said "he has no SSN", the papers for the stuff from Guyana is on its way up as we speak for me to sign and return. We are not sure we will get the Deed to the property by the time the interview because you know how GT is but at least we will have the agreement of sale.

Mrs. Rowe I wasn't aware that you could put someo in Guyana on your life insurance here. Thanks for sharing I am going to go make a call so that I can include my husband on mine.

Remember suz the burden of proof is what we are working with nothing less nothing more.

Please explain how it's worse when the sponsor sends money? I'm not sure I understand?

I have to ask the same question. The only thing i can think of is they may want to think that the beneficiary is using the USC but that's not their call to make if people seem genuinely inlove. So, i don't knoI say if you trust your attorney, go for it. Generally, i still do believe that it's better not to show a lot of money exchanges from beneficiary to sponsor but that's just IMO.

Don't judge life by one different season. Perserve through the difficult patches and better time are sure to come in time. Always remember that:

(1) Kindness keeps you sweet.
