221g Received for CR-1

Hi,

My wife was given 221g (NO AP) after her interview on Oct. 17th, 2008(Friday). They asked her to submit more PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP specifically: pics. besides marriage, emails, chat, phone calls, gifts and greeting cards, to the Ahmd. VFS office with Passport.

We didn't go on honeymoon because of time shortage, so no pics of that.

So, we submitted:

1. Around 22 pics. of us together besides marriage(Thats all the pics. we have).

2. 4 months of Yahoo Chat

3. 6 months of Phone Calls

4. 3 Greeting Cards sent to each other

5. Gift Reciept & Photograph of the gift

6. Hotel Bill

7. Emails

Documents & passport were submitted on Oct. 20th, 2008 (Monday) to VFS office. They said it will take around 3-4 days to receive the passport back in mail. VFS site tracking system doesn't work. They use Blue Dart courier service to send these docs. to Mumbai Embassy.

Is there a way to get the Blue Dart Reference No. and track the passport through Blue Dart Service?

There was a similar case in New Delhi in November 2007 for K-3.

The benificary called the USE after one week of submitting the documents asked for at VFS Jalandhar. She alled at 10:00 AM.

They told her her visa is approved.

Do not worry. Your wife will get her visa within two weeks.

They just want to vefify the documents.

Only the embassy can provide you with the tracking # unless your spouse paid for the shipping, in which case your spouse already has the tracking #.

My fiancee also have a 221g after her interview on 11/21/2008...We have the engagement pictures and pictures of us together along with money wire and phone card receipts...still not good enough. I am a US citizen and my fiancee is a Cambodian citizen. Due to Cambodian tradition we prefer calling our parents in law as mom and dad as well as our own. So my fiancee have no clue what my parents first and last name is even though i told her a few times...The second question was to name all the kids in my family side. I prefer calling brother number one and brother number two when talking to her...so she doesn't know their name either...Most of the conversation we had was about our feeling toward one another and our childhood. Now that the case is sending back to US...I am wondering how long will the process take to get another interview? The second things was that most people who got their visa seem to have their petitioner along their side...but i wasn't there because of my new job...Does anyone have any idea of how long will it take to hear about the case after it is being sent back to US?

It will take a LONG time. Best if you can try to keep the mpetition in the embassy and try to appeal it there. Get your Senator and Congressman involved RIGHT now.

If that doesn't work and the petition goes back I'd cancel with USCIS and start over with a CR-1. You are going to have to get to know each other better one way or the other.

He had his interview in August 2008 and received a 221g administrative processing... they asked for proof of relationship and we sent them loads of pictures, emails, my passport to show i live with him for 6 months..... and went back and forth to India 4 times..... All relatives names here and India....

we sent them everything.... and still we heard nothing it's going to be 4 months and I don't knwo what to do what lawyer to go to ? if a lawyer can do anything??? I went to my congressman and she said she will find out for me....

I am living in NJ and cannot leave my job because i used all my vacations days....

Did you try calling the embassy? Did they say that they just needed the evidence or were they putting you on AP anyway. Did you have this evidence information during the interview? I would call the embassy to find out the status. You can also contact your senator, but all they can do is really give your the same info the embassy does. I don't think a lawyer can help while it is still at the embassy. But I am not the expert on this. Maybe someone in the AP forum can give you some advise.

i was wondering what happened to your k1 petition and why you got denied for lack of bonafide relationship?

although, i'm quite confident on knowing all his family infos and other important details.

Main reason was lack of pictures with fiancee, me and her family. Also only one short visit with her. They were correct in denying us as we didn't have a bonafide relationship!

I guess it worked out for the better in the long run.
