LAX SUX! (don't worry you'll be fine it's my least favorite U.S. airport though.)

Yes, long lines, employees who aren't real helpful and outdated airport (way way to small for all the people that travel through there.) But you'll be fine I'm sure. The CO we had was nice. One trick question he had. So you two got married in the Phils huh? But of course we said no since my fiance was coming in on a K-1 visa.

You'll be fine. It was my first time to enter US with no company at that, but it was easy all in all. Just ask the personnel at LAX where are the lines for visitors...then wait a long line. The immigration officer will take a look at your visa packet and ask questions/info he'll get from that packet. THat's it! Goodluck!

K1 visa
12.20.07 : NOA1
05.01.08 : NOA2
05.27.08 : MNL case number was received in the US
07.01.08 : interview
07.21.08 : visa on hand!!!
08.25.08 : POE:LAX
09.10.08 : applied for SSN
09.13.08 : just married!!!

11.03.08 : passed behind-the-wheel drive test

AOS
11.12.08 : Sent packet for AOS, EAD and AP
11.17.08 : Packet received at Chicago, IL (day 1)
11.24.08 : Check encashed (day 7)
12.17.08 : Biometrics! (day 30)
01.13.09 : AP and EAD approved (day 57)
01.20.09 : AP arrived in the mail (day 64)

LAX is very busy indeed, long lines but the officers that handled there is very fast and quick. When it's my turn, i was not even 20 mins. did not even asked me questions. Just handed my passport, the I-94 form that the airplane gave us and the brown packet from the embassy. He just recorded it and stamped my passport and stapled the I-94 form. Though, u should be aware where ur next flight will be and what airlines u will be transferring as the airport is so big. I rode a shuttle bus to my next airport, just asked the employees there, they are a big help to me that time.

Hope it helps.

Claudeth didn't have any problems with immigration at LAX. The officer that dealt with her was very nice and she was through the whole thing from deboarding the plane, customs, getting her 3 huge suitcases and out the door in less than 45 minutes.
