Hello, I will try to keep this short. I have a friend that wants to go through the K-1 process with his girfriend from China. His concern is - he recieves social security disability income, due to having back surgury 6 years ago, his income is fine, and has all supporting documents, his main concern is come time when the interview is conducted, they will (flat out) deny the case because he is not employed. Is this true ? anybody with past experience with this issue, he would really appreciate your views on this subject. Thank you very much :)

The fact that he is unable to have a job will not be held against him, as long as he has sufficient income to sponsor you. It would be helpful to have written evidence that the Social Security Administration has determined that he is legally disabled.

This is correct but my concern is the statement "his income is fine". Usually such income is low enough to barely qualify for the 125% if at all.
