Well I just sent out the I-129F on friday. From everything I have read, i put it together right.

This is how i did it....

i sectioned the petition in 4 main parts (i-129f, g-325, proof of citizenship, proof of ability to marry (letters of intent, proof of meeting)) and i put clear tabs at the bottom of each of those sections. i 2-hole punched the tops of each page and put a acco fastener around it. put everything in a large manila folder and labeled it with my return address, made sure to write that this was a original submission of the 1-129f, put their address). then put that folder into a priority box from the USPS and made it certified so they would have to sign when they receive it.

Cover letter w. check attached

I-129f, q18 attachment after that

my 4 g-325, then my passport style photo in a baggie connected to plain white paper

my fiancés 4 g-325a w. his photo (personally signed by him)

a certified copy (looked like it can be described as a 'short version') of my birth certificate and a copy of my 'long version' BC

a section of evidence:

copies of both our passports

2 letters of intent typed and signed by both of us

6 VERY documented trips from feb. 2008-sept 2008 complete with e-ticket confirmations, international insurance copies, boarding passes, hotel confirmations/reservations/receipts, baggage stickers, and pictures (i typed who was in the pic, where, and when pics were taken and printed it onto a sticker and put them on the back of each photo). i sent anywhere from 3-10 photos for each trip. then i also put a copy of my e-ticket confirmation at the very end that showed a scheduled trip that I will be taking in november to go visit him.

i also didnt send it to a 24000 address....i sent it to the CSC at po box 10130, laguna niguel. i have been reading more today about the i-129f trying to figure out what i should start preparing for now, but i was reading that a lot of people put evidence of a ongoing relationship. i did not put any copies of cards, personal emails, phone records, skype phone records..... and now im scared that i should have included all of this. i have posted this question prior to sending off if i should include this proof but was told that i should keep it all for the interview my fiancé will have.

am i kinda freaking out for nothing? i just am wondering if i did everything to standards.

i know this is just the beginning of many questions on my part, but everyone on VJ has been a great help so far and i cant say thank you enough.

i appreciate it so much!

Evidence of an ongoing relationship is not required for a fiance visa petition at filing. However, I'd say documenting six trips is quite a bit of evidence of an ongoing relationship. Wouldn't you?

hey SKParker and welcome....

I had visited my now husband over a period of 4 years before we submitted the paperwork, and had kept the e-tickets, had copies of passport stamps and a couple of pictures of us to together over that period - so I think you have as much as you need to prove the intial requirement to have met within 2 years.

I saved cards, telephone bills, letters, etc for the interview stage - so I think you are fine. I turned up to the embassy with a large file of evidence.

Good luck with your journey -

Hello, I guess you did a good job in accomplishing your I-129F Package. You listed all the evidences and its all good. Make sure that you did not send all the originals because you`re fiancee will be needing it during her interview in the future.Start keeping your proofs of on-going relationship whether its through email, snail mail, chat logs, call history and all means of your communication that will will proved that you`re always communicating after sending your petition....Anyways,,,,Good luck to your journey!!!
