Case complete at NVC...but a question I I may

I just called NVC and was told that all the documentation for the DS230 was reviewed and that NVC was "completing' the case. They said I should not expect any checklists.

But, was told that NVC does not schedule interview dates until the 2nd week of each month. So, i was told that my wife and child's interview would not be scheduled until the 2nd week on November.

Do "completing" mean that they have found the DS230s to be sufficient with all supporting documents and that they are completing their process to have it presentable to the embassy?

And I presume calling anytime before the 2nd week of November would be fruitless..is this true?

Completing the case means...basically putting the papers together. I think your DS230 was approved.

They may try to roll you into the October interview cycle...depends on how long the cycle is. I heard they sometimes run an extra half a week or so if they have too many cases. I'd try calling this week checking on the status, maybe you get lucky. If not, then call on Monday of the 2nd week of Nov, I think they do schedules first in first out so you'd be one of the first people to get the date.

Call them this week every day. It's not like it's going to hurt anything.

i was not aware of that information. Thanks for it. I, indeed, will continue to call them. Perhaps my wife can be added in for November.
