ds230 RFE

Hi Guys hope somebody will have an opinion on my case..I have RFE for ds230 (Typograhical error) #15 and #17, my wife send the correction today and NVC will received it tomorrow, how long the NVC will complete our case? is their any chance that I can be with my family in Chirstmas? my wife and my son is in Chicago and our wish is to be reunite before christmas. our case is almost complete, what happen when the NVC receive the correction? how long will I wait to have an Interview? it is possible that I will have an Interview in USEMBASSY MANILA on November? please give some advise because I'm starting to feel stress right now beacause of the RFE here is my timeline:

Meet at the School: JUNE 2001

She said YES: OCTOBER 2001

Flight to U.S.: MAY 2002

our baby jelo born: FEBRUARY 9, 2005

she came back wit my son: AUGUST 2, 2005

NVC took about 1 week after they received my corrected DS-230 to hear for a Case Complete. I did not wait for the NVC Coversheet as I used the Coversheet that was used to orignally send the DS-230. It should say ATTN: DR. Good luck with resending the DS-230 make sure you go over each line as you do not want any further delays.

They received my RFE on Monday 29th and case was completed on Friday same week.

After RFE, case completes quite quickly as said by manishnyati.

15 and 17 deal with parents name.

Can you specify what was the typographical error on your RFE? And how do you think NVC spotted it? Is it by comparing to your I-130 application or birth certficate, police certificate etc?

they will review your case upon receiving the correction. allow another week until approval.

this depends on how long until your petition will be approved and if there are still interview slots for november. they usually make interview scheds 2nd week of every month for the following month. if i'm mistaken, they are on the process of scheduling interviews for november this week just as they did last month for october interviews. plus, you have to consider that the US election is fast approaching, though i'm not sure it will affect the visa processing in the local embassies worldwide but let's just say, there might be a little backlog..though i hope there wouldn't.

to reunite with your family this christmas would be great but i don't wanna get your hopes high, just follow-up with NVC by calling them and pray..

to land an interview sched this november, you have to be approved before or on the 2nd week of october. but if you will be approved later than that, i'd say december.

instead of filling up my fathers name I noticed that I wrote my name in #15, and in # 17 i fill up my fathers last name instead of my mom's surname at birth..

oh my.. we both got RFE! that was our prayer to not get it.. hmmmmpp but in my case my RFE was the whole AOS package! and i think my hubby will send it this week coz he's getting his tax transcript again...

i hope we get our case completed soon and get the interview too...
