Does my wife need a job after entering the US? How does the NVC or the US Consular feel or look at this?

She does not plan on working right away and may never work but only be a housewife.

Will that affect the process in a negative manner?

I was just curious because they I-230 asks what work you intend to do after entering.

She will not be working

No it will not affect the application, that's the reason why the Petitioner need to sign the affidavit of support so that the benefeciary will not be a public charge during her/his stay in the United States..

EAD can take aprox 90 days or longer, green-card can take 4-5 months to YEARS to get. CR-1 (I-130 Only) has the advantage of green-card upon entry to the USA, CR-1 for the most part takes just a bit longer than K-3.

One other note: DS-230 is a multipurpose form, it is also used for immigrant work visas so it asks what work or school for those types of visas. The Example forms shows DS-230 saying something "Undecided" or "When Work Authorization Granted".

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.
