Tax transcripts can be from the IRS. You can call them and they will mail you the transcripts. If you have your own copies, you can mail in copy of those but you will need to submit W-2, 1099 forms and any other supplementary documents you had sent when you filed the taxes. If you use IRS transcripts, there is no need to send any of these...that's what I used.

Do you have a number I can call? Then when I call can I ask for the past three years? How long will it take to get them?

Tax transcripts say they take 10 days to get, but they come pretty quick. I think mine came in like a week. Here is how to get them from the Wiki Page for Jame's Shortcuts:

* IRS transcripts: You can request your tax return transcripts for previous 3 years for free from the IRS. There is no charge for the transcript and you should receive it in 10 business days from your request received at IRS.

* Call (800) 829-1040 and follow below steps as per prompt in the recorded message to request tax return transcript. This documents will be mailed to the address where you last filed your tax return.

* Press 2. Questions about your refund, payments or account.

* Press 2. Questions about your tax account.

* Enter SSN.

* Press 1. If you entered SSN.

* Press 1. If you entered correct SSN.

* Press 3. To request transcript.

* Enter NUMBER of street address. For example, enter '123' if you filed your recent tax return from the address '123 Main Street'.

* Press 2. To receive transcript of tax return.

* Enter 4 digit (YYYY) year. Enter '2007' to request transcript for year 2007.

* Press 1. To confirm correct year.

* Press 2. To request transcript for additional year.

Yes! If it comes close to your filing, get on the phone, give them a sob story about your beloved and wait by the fax, they are pretty darn cool about that - never was so glad to talk to the IRS in my life.

They were very nice to me today and I have them sending my tax transcriprts. She also said I could call on Monday and they would faxes them also. She even gave me all the information to call back and that was cool

Yeah u they are really great about it, i still have about 10 copies laying around somewhere lol they sent me a ton so your good to go mate

I will you have been a great help for me. I have the DS230 ready to go. All I have to do is date it before I send it. My wife give me all the inforamtion and sign everything. I filled it all out and must only put the date on it. Can I send the DS230 in with the I 864?
