Hi everyone! just wanna if, after TUBERCULIN Test was given to the child, how may days will it takes for SLEC to read the result. Will they check in on the next day or the 3rd day after the test was given? just wanna know, coz we're having our medical wednesday& i'm hoping that we could finish friday, since SLEC is closed on weekends. i just want to make sure that we have enough time for the medical. How many blocks away is Cherry Blossoms Hotel from SLEC? can i check-in, in the morning like 8:30am? coz i'm planning upon arrival from the airport to drop our things at the hotel & proceed with the medical.

I think it takes 48-72 hours to get the results of PPD. I just finished my medical exam last Tuesday. I saw cherry blossoms and it's very close to SLEC. I stayed at a hotel too that was close to SLEC but I forgot the name. Lol. It was 9:30 in the evening when I went out from the clinic. And my friend lives in Novaliches which was kinda far so I decided to stay at the hotel. Goodluck on your medical exam.

tuberculin skin test (TST) is read 48-72 hours after it was administered. You have to consider the timing. Upon interpretation of the skin test and it turned out positive ,>10 mm, your child will have a Chest ray on that day. You will be asked to come again on the next day for the Xray result. If the Chest Xray turned out to be normal, your child will have the vaccines.

So in your case, If you go on Wed and your child had his/her TST done around noon, he/she will come back fri noon for the interpretation, pray hard it's negative so your child will have the vaccine on Fri and you all can go home (that's if you had your vaccine on Thurs too). If it comes to worst ,it turned positive you will end up coming back on Monday for the Chest XRay result and vaccines.

I advice you to come early to the center so your child can have the skin test early on the day. or better have the medical on Mon/Tues instead.

I just had mine done for work, and it is like the other state.. 48-72 hrs. Don't go over the 3 day because it will have to be done again. As a side note, if the skin is smooth where the test was done there is no need to worry. Usually if the results are + you will have a raised, red area.

Cherry Blossoms is just walking distance away from SLEC. If you will arrive early in the morning, what you can do is secure your room, and just leave your things at the front desk or ask them if the room is already available for early check in.

had my medical september 24 (instead of the pre-meditated september 25-26 schedule) and i was thankful i did. i suggest you have your medical earlier than wednesday just to give yourself time just in case something comes up.

applicants who underwent tuberculin skin test are asked to come back for a third day medical for TST reading at the 2nd floor. if it's positive, then the applicant will be scheduled for sputum examination and pulmonary evaluation but if it's negative, the applicant may have his/her immunization.

take note that SLEC seem to be very tight on this TST issue. there was this child who was asked to return to SLEC a week after her scheduled medical coz her TST evaluation yeilded 8mm bleb. i was kinda surprised considering how small the bleb was and that one should be worried if bleb reaches a diameter 11mm..but hey, i'm in no position to argue their findings..lol..if they think it needs more evaluation, then they really do MORE testing..which will eventually cost the applicant more time not to mention added stress.

Tanx sis! i9 tried to rebook our flight on an earlier date but it's fully book already & the rebooking fee would cost us an additional 860/passenger. i'll just hope & pray for the best.anyway, all my son's required vaccines has been finished here already w/ his pedia...tanx so much for the advise & i was surprised also w/ the bleb w/c is 8mm in diameter, coz here in the Phils. i think u should be alarmed if its more than 10mm...Oh God help Us!
