Harsh Wording - Please don't move

So I finally got a copy of my husband's Form, it must be an older version or maybe newer.. Not sure, but it has the most Harsh wording on it, no wonder my husband thought the worst.

Beside it stateing that:

X Section 221(g) which prohibits the issuance of a visa to anyone whose application does not comply with the provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act or regulations issued pursuant thereto. The following remarks apply in your case*

Your application requires administrive processing and/or additional clearance. Our office will call you as soon as this processing is complete. If you do not hear from us within 10 weeks of your application, you may send an email to check on the status of your case.

*WARNING: IF YOU FAIL TO TAKE THE ACTION REQUESTED WITHIN ONE YEAR FOLLOWING VISA DENIAL UNDER SECTION 221(G) OF THE IMMIGRATION AND NATIONALITY ACT SECTION 223(G) OF THE ACT REQUIRES THAT YOUR APPLICATION BE CANCELLED.

Has anyone else receieved this type of form? it's not blue, but plain white....

Yeah thats the typical language on the back of the form at the bottom, I guess they want you to take action when its them that are taking the action - go figurexxxxx Our case was different hun where we needed to supply a piece of paper but in your case it is for security clearance inshallah its quick (check pm)

Well I dont go in the MENA thread too much, I feel better here and that is why I am asking here...Plus there is tons of people outside of the Middle east that also get 221(g) forms.

my husbands form was blue- from chennai embassy in india and it checked off 221g but did not have the same wording as urs... mine said nothing about sec clearance or 10 weeks

it just said administrative processing

gosh i hate this.. but stay positive atleast u have a timeframe written on ur paper, our CO officer just told us verbally 4-6 weekks

havent heard nothing yet..

try callin DOS and see what they say.

221g for administrative processing through MENA countries is standard and shouldn't be any cause for concern (nearly everyone receives a 221g). As mentioned above, they need to complete the security clearance. Processing times, as might be expected, vary widely.

hi Hyd - You think it's to early to call them? Do you have their number??? I am sure you will hear something soon!! INSHALLAH... I hate this I feel so numb like it's a dream or something... Don't you??? I was also preparing a letter to state Representatives like congressman or Senators so they are in the loop.... I dont know...

Hi Nita,

I don't think Pattu Rani was trying to be mean to you by telling you maybe to should check out the thread in MENA....there are lots of ladies (and LuLu...and a couple other guys) there from MENA that have gone through this (me included!) that might give you some insight on it. We all know there are tons of people from all over that go through this...MENA or otherwise, but sometimes it helps to have a little advice from people who are from the same parts of the world (UK for example may not be as bad as Lebanon...ya know?). But, it is pinned right at the top, if you want to read it...Anyway, you stay wherever you feel comfy.

I hope you are doing a little better today, I know that I was a nervous wreck after Abed's interview....and since I was the first through Beirut in a while, I really didn't know what to expect...and I am sure you felt the same way since one happened to us (AP) and Amanda didn't get anything....it was a toss up. With all the problems you have been having with name clearances and such, I honestly can't say I didn't expect it for you, but I pray it is over for you soon and your habibi can be with you soon. Don't worry, you have gotten this far, and the embassy did not deny the visa, it is just waiting on these checks to be completed and the visa will be in the passport! I would wait at least until Friday (maybe Monday) if you can hold off to call DOS, give them time to get the info and get it in the system before they tell you "oh yeah, we got it....and yeah, it is in process...". They don't usually give much info. And then tell you you don't need to call again for at least 2 weeks....yeah RIGHT! Hopefully this will be over before you get the form filled out for the congressperson...

OK, enough rambling, good luck sweetie! You are in my prayers this Eid and that you remain strong and try not to worry yourself to death...you are in the home stretch!!

I know the MENA forum has some good imformation, just I dont feel comfy posting there as much as this forum... and I really appricate you listening to me it's helps to know that someone from Lebanon has been through it before that I know and that INSHALLAH in the end I pray the outcome will be as yours.. hey nita, go ahead and call.. i called them the next day and one of the rep said u just had ur under AP.. case is stil pendin.. the num is 202-663-1225 and just say im caling to inquire the status of my husbands case, i am his wife the us citizen..

hang in there.. start preparing ur letter to congressman, and included everything from day one of ur immigration.. basically ur visa journey.. and the point is to show that u have been seperated as husband and wife for a long time, and it is not fair as other people come to us quicker than the US citizens can get their spouses here.. say ur emplyed, u paid taxes all that stuff

Sorry to hear that. Looks like it is security check. Name check of your hubby with the FBI data base.

Hope it will be over soon. Do not worry about the foot print ...that is standard.

Now it is time to get in touch with your congressman and senator. Write to them and send them a copy of this white 221 (g) sheet.

Just found out that, beside the CO beside not giving him the option of having the interview in Arabic, he also didn't let my hubby take all the relationship Evidence he brought with him to the interview.... I spent a lot of money on that package.... I will be indicting that in my letter ot my congressman
