My validity date on my approval notice is good until the 30th of this month so on Tuesday. My fiance has been trying to do his passport well get his passport since June, but the passport people keep sending it back saying this or that is wrong with it. We have not been able to fax anything to the consulate yet and the date is only a matter of a few days away. Can someone please tell me how I can get my date extended so my case does not close? If you look at my timeline you will see it took almost a year before I got my approval and I do not want to go through the process all over again. Whoever can be of any help to me is greatly appreciate please! Thank you so much!

you need to inform the consulate... they are the ones who can do it

I tried contacting the consulate where my fiance will have his interview by email and it has been a week and I have not gotten a response. I tried emailing again, but am not sure if my email sent. If they do not respond to my email then what do I do? Should I try calling them on Monday or should I use the emergency phone number line? I don't want them saying I called when it is not an emergency and have anything negative said.

Check for a number that may be on the notice itself that was sent to you. If not, try contacting customer service (USCIS) or DHS.

You can google the numbers. Dont be afraid, they will not close the case just like that. As long as you solid evidence that you were working on something that was needed for the process to continue. Ensure that you call them though!!! very important. At this point, you really cant depend on emails on such short timeframe. Good Luck. You'll be fine.

Thank you for that response. I just wrote another email where my fiance will be filing and this time it saved it so i know it was sent. The only number is the USCIS which is not open until Monday. I have a class on monday since i am a college student, but i should be able to call early afternoon when i get home. my problem i have with calling uscis though is i am not sure which option to pick to get a hold of a represenative since the menu has been changed. what exactly is DHS? what type of evidence can i show that my fiance is waiting for his passport? his mom has been helping him along with this as my fiance tends to not read things over haha  he however has receipts to show that he mailed out a package, but if they checked with the passport people they would be able to tell uscis or whoever that they have my fiance's application for a passport? i have been trying my hardest to get a hold of someone since this past week as i never knew the approval notice expired. i am feeling a great amount of stress at this point as i am the main provider in this case and take care of it since my fiance is not to great with that. i hope i will have luck!!

The USCIS (DHS) has relinquished the case to the Department of State (NVC) who has forwarded to the consulate.... They cannot help you. You have to talk to someone within the Department of State.

You're going to give yourself a migrane. It will be okay. DHS is Department of Homeland Security - They approval ALL petitions first then it's sent to visa center. If you have a number for the passport office itself, you should call on Monday. If you have classed on Monday, have his mom or your fiance call because someone MUST !!! inform them.

As far as evidence goes for the passport, Keep all the emails that you sent to the passport company. Print it out and keep it. Try to obtain a letter on monday from the passport company stating in detail that its in their possession and it is being processed. Have them fax/email to you on Monday itself and then you can FAX it to uscis.
