I-765 rejected, TWICE

:crying:

When I filed my packet with the I-130, 131, 465, 864, and 765 on 6/17 I did not make copies of the package. Just of the money order for $1365 I was sending in since I figured I have everything saved on the computer. I received receipts for the 130, 465, and 131 but didn't realize that I did not receive one for the 765 until about August. I called and they said to refile it with a letter stating that they had overlooked it. I did and it was rejected stating that I didn't pay the correct fee and that the form was expired.

I filed it again with the notice of action from the 485 with the number stapled to it that they gave us at the fingerprinting place and another letter that I had already paid. I recieved the entire package back again with a rejection notice stating that I hadn't paid the correct fee.

PLEASE HELP!!!! My husband needs to work!

Thanks,

Temperance :crying::crying::crying:

Well... That's the other problem. Each time I try to make an infopass appointment it shows a message that says no appointments are available and its been like this for about a week.

try different ZIP code (from the next city/village)

my ZIP code was changed THREE years ago and InfoPass still doesn't recognize it - telling me that no apps are available.

Does your bank have a receipt from the money order you sent them?

It takes forever to get a copy of the money order from the bank so in the meantime I submitted the application again with a copy of the front of the money order that I made and a copy of the NOA on the I485 with the case number highlighted. I also sent a copy of the rejection notice with the portion about not having to pay again if an i 485 has been successfully submitted.

I tried using a different zip code to make an infopass appointment and I'm still getting the same thing. No appointments available...

try changing the reason for the appointment. Try "You need information or other services". Make the appt. and when you get there, tell them what you really want.

Now they're releasing the appointments one day at a time... Still waiting to hear back from my third submission of the I-765

No, I didn't but I don't think there's any way I can change that now. They already cashed them.

UPDATE!

The form was rejected a total of 4 times before we were able to get an appointment at the service center. It seems that since I didn't get a receipt in the mail for the I-485 (due to a problem with USPS) my use of the appointment letter apparently wasn't good enough proof that the fee had been paid. So the agent at USCIS started a ticket on the computer and gave us a copy of it and said to file the stupid thing again. That was a week ago and I haven't heard anything yet so hopefully that's a good sign!
