Is the debate back on now that a resolution is in sight? The intuitive politician might be regretting that particular play today...

After 8 years, Bush is still appalling at delivering a speech. And no magic tricks either - I had to switch to David Blaine for that...

speaking of David Blaine what was so great about his trick at the end??.. I didn't even really know what happened until the announcer kind of explained it...

lol.. I loved when the announcer guy said " you guys in the crowd will be able to see it live and you guys at home will be able to watch it on your TV" well duh

I didn't watch it, I don't like that kind of thing, but I heard something on the news this morning as I was heading out the door that he didn't even hang upside down all the time, but took 'breaks' some lasting up to an hour, what's with that?

I didn't watch that - annoys me when shows build up something to such a ridiculous degree. I saw the bullet catch and some of the street tricks, which were cool.

Apparently a lot of people weren't very happy that Blaine didn't exactly hang upside for 6 hours - they reinverted him for 10 minutes every hour for toilet breaks.

I guess being upside down and pissing all over himself wouldn't be family friendly TV.

There was a cable and he was attached to either a helicopter or crane (that they DIDN'T show). What kind of lame-a$$ ending was that? Glad I didn't watch the whole thing...

Some of the street tricks were interesting - esp. some of the people he took as volunteers. There was a poor family from New Orleans and this one man that lived in the house looked like he'd been in a sword-fight - with a long scar from his eyebrow to chin.

I liked that after the guy went crazy with admiration - saying "that's the $hit!" over and over, the ABC announcer said, "I echo that".

It's not clear what, exactly, McCain is going to do in Washington. He doesn't sit on any of the relevant committees, and everyone is already deep in negotiations. Still, he's coming anyway. It doesn't make much logical sense. The only way to understand it is politically: In a presidential campaign, the surest sign that a candidate is playing politics on an issue is when he claims not to be playing politics on an issue.
