Jumping slightly ahead of myself here (don't actually have my interview until the 20th October, but why wait!!) can someone please clarify a couple of points on the G-325A:

1) In the 3rd block down ("Husband or Wife", just below the parental details) I'm assuming I put the other half's details? It's just that it 's not entirely clear on the example form. And in the section where it asks for her maiden name, does that mean her actual maiden name (i.e. the one she was born with) or her previous name? She was married before, and still uses that surname you see.

2) In the 5th block down, "Applicant's residence for the last 5 years" do you put your address where you are in the U.S. at the time of filing as the present address? It's just that the example form shows the applicant's last overseas address as the "present" address. If that's the case, why bother with the next box down, "Applicant's last address outside the U.S.?"

3) Why are there 4 identical forms???

Sorry I'm sounding a bit thick here, but it is Monday!

2) In the 5th block down, "Applicant's residence for the last 5 years" do you put your address where you are in the U.S. at the time of filing as the present address? It's just that the example form shows the applicant's last overseas address as the "present" address. If that's the case, why bother with the next box down, "Applicant's last address outside the U.S.?"Yes - current address will (I presume) be the one in the US. The form has multiple purposes (if you remember, one of these was completed for both of you as part of the I-129f package - for example), so for some the 'last address outside the US' may not be the last one on the 'past five years' list.

3) Why are there 4 identical forms???It's the electronic version of a 4-part form. In all likelihood it's distributed to different departments once received.

Sorry I'm sounding a bit thick here, but it is Monday!

Thanks K&O - I just realised that the deatil in the G-325 example form in the AOS guide is different from the one in the K1 guide, despite the forms obviously being identical. That'll teach me to be more thorough I guess.

if you look in the very lower left hand corner you will see the difference for the G form :)

also when you download nto your comp it is enough to fill out one - the remaining three will populate themselves

just remember to sign and date every and each of them

and yes... pay attention to every word on every form ;)
