Woohoo, I got an email saying they had received our info we sent for the RFE.

I know it's not big deal but it's yet another step forward and it needs to be yippeeeed.

That and if you were to tell anyone else they wouldn't know what the sweet mother you were talking about it.

We should all compile a "Immigration Layman Terms" so the general public knows what an NOA, or RFE, or whatever else means.

Good news, canucker18, I'll crack open a brewski in your honour. As for compiling a list of acronyms for laymen, well, I can tell you that people's eyes glaze over when I try to explain we have to apply for a long-play version first (I-130) before we can apply for the short version (I-129F), which is really for fiancees, because they don't have forms yet for spouses, and that once my husband gets to Jersey, it's only half of the story because we'll have to apply for AOS, SSN, EAD, and even I'm getting dizzy now. The usual reaction is that the government make it too hard and too long for legitimate cases, while millions are rushing the border with Mexico without so much as a howdy do. I have no answer for that except to register to vote and hope the laws change. Now, back to that beer.
