Let's say that Palin, in a speech, said something like- "you shouldn't vote based on...hey he's a nice guy, or hey he's got a nice permanent tan..." ?

I used tan instead of race to keep the question at the same superficial level that Michelle's innuendo encompasses.

Not all of them. Just people like you.

Indeed, I'm stating you're a problem.

There there SVRT crying-baby-thumb813125.jpg

No kidding. The crying kid best exemplifies his whines on how bad whites have it in a topic that didn't have anything to do with race.

Let's hear some more whine, Aficionado.

Sheesh, she was a "beauty queen" after all, so why are her looks off the table?!

What next? Will we be forbidden to talk about how sexy the porn star is, lest we "diminish" her?!

More idiotic blah, blah, to cover the fact that the GOP is so morally and intellectually bankrupt.

News to me.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

From my perspective, Michelle is hinting to the fact that some people seem to be interested in Palin just because they think she's good looking. Which is true, and it's stupid that I saw people wearing pins at the GOP convention that said something like vote for the hot chick. Can't we have someone who is pretty and wears modern clothes run for office without those kind of comments? Nope. Also, just because she's a woman a bunch of women decide to vote for her and McCain? I don't get it really. I want them to win, but I don't get it. If some women were on the fence about who to vote for, I don't understand how Palin who is much more right wing than McCain is getting democrat or undecided women to vote for her when those women would probably relate more to McCain's views than Palin's. But she is what made them decide?? Well, good, but still, doesn't make sense.

I think if people keep calling her a babe or other terms for her looks, it demeans her into yet another object for men to look at instead of someone who might be able to be a leader. So if we have an average looking or ugly woman politician, they are taken more seriously than pretty ones, which is so old school. Whether I think she has enough experience, she has more than Obama does, but I don't think either of them have enough experience to be in the White House. At least she isn't running for the front spot on the ticket like Obama is though. ;)
