I am wondering which would be more convenient to the consulate and nearby hotels? The train is cheaper, but I am wondering how close the station is vs. the airport, and getting around. I'll have a toddler in tow, so I am hoping to make it as smooth as possible...LOL. Any tips, or hotel recs?

Not sure about the Airport vs. Train station, I am sure someone else will pipe in. I took a shuttle from the airport to downtown for $25 round trip. Had to walk several blocks to the hotel however.

A lot of VJers stay here at La Tour Centre-Ville - its literally right across the street from the consulate.

I stayed the Delta Centre-Ville - about a 5 minute walk to the consulate. However that is largely uphill, and probably not the best with a toddler.

I've done both. If the train is cheaper, take that. It's the most convenient. It comes in under the Queen Elizabeth hotel and is within easy walking distance of the Consulate. About a block or two. There are lots of topics on Montreal but here's one to start you off:

I was thinking of taking the train as well to get to the interview...but I was also debating on driving. Right now the means of transportation seems to be higher in cost because of the rising fuel costs, well here in Ontario anyways. For the time being Im just anxiously awaiting to find out when my interview date is to begin with. Best of luck to you!
