Kill that SOB! Do not pass go, do not collect $200, just kill the d@mn thing! Hubby got bit by one a few months ago. It ate a hole in his arm and was terribly infected. He had to get treated with a really strong antibiotic to get rid of it. It left a serious scar on his arm. Just blasting it with water won't necessarily kill it. I suggest doing what Charles said or knocking it out of the shrub and smashing it with your foot. Those are the only two sure fire ways of making sure the SOB is dead.

BTW, can you tell I hate spiders? They are satan's spawn.
