McCain camp revs up the lies

I skipped through most of the comments here because to be honest most people's political opinions are so ridiculously uninformed dribble that I'd rather stick a fork in my eye than argue about politics, but if you think Bush and his cronies have done a bang up job you are a complete moron. If McCain gets voted in he'll be better, but that's not saying much. What really irritates me about McCain is that his campaign has, on numerous occasions, fabricated BS and the sad thing is 50% of Americans are either too stupid, uninformed or blindly loyal to the Republican party to see it.

The whole controversy about "lipstick on a pig" is an excellent example. If you take 1 minute to actually listen to the complete quote from Obama it's blatantly obvious that the "pig" he referred to is McCain's policies and the "lipstick" is repackaging the same old policies (Obama also talked about changing the wrapping on a fish... and even though you changed the wrapper it still stinks). Yet McCain is trying to say that Obama's remark was sexist, which is not only inaccurate but a flat out lie.

Before any of you try to attack me and label me as a liberal (which is no worse than a neo-con, probably less worse in fact because neo-cons tend to be arrogant & self righteous) I am an Independent. I am also a 21 year Army veteran and have served in two hazardous duty zones (Bosnia & Iraq). I also thought Reagan was awesome and looking back Bush Sr. was a heck of a lot better than Dubya.

I just wish the Republicans would spend a little less time on spin tactics, half-truths and rhetoric and a little more time actually trying to fix what's wrong with this country. I respect John McCain as a POW and used to respect him as a politician, but each day I respect him a little less.
