Hello VJ's

I have a quick questions regarding sending the packet of information (DS-230, employment letter etc.).

We had sent our packet to the NVC last week of August 29, 2008. But when I call the NVC automatic line it does not say it has received the packet. Does anyone have any idea when this updates, does it update soon as they get the packet or it updates at a later time. Tried calling the NVC operator but could not get through because operators are busy. Will the operator be able to tell me if they have received it or not?

PLEASE HELP...

I am freaking out not sure if they have received or what is causing the delay please help.

Once they complete processing the packet is when they update the DS-230 info. They are probably processing it and haven't completed their processing. Good luck.

they typically take 2 weeks from the date the last information was received to say case is complete. You can call to see if they have it, but call either real early in the morning or later in the evening. This time of day is going to be impossible to get through.

It took NVC 7 days to change their message for me and that was because of the July 4th holiday kind of like how the 1st was a holiday here too. What day does the post office say that NVC got the package? They might not have even got it unitl the 2nd or 3rd, nothing to worry about.

I've seen posted here before that the NVC updates the automated information on Tuesday and Saturday. I'm not sure if that is acurate or not. Even when my information was updated it did not report the correct information. If you feel that the information is wrong or you do not receive an update within 10-14 business days call by all means. They will help you the best they can with the information they have. I was told by a NVS rep that the best times to call are between 10:00a.m. -11:30a.m., 6:00p.m. - 6:45p.m., and late evening. My experiances with the reps at the NVC have been very good.

Best of luck!!
