Where does it go?

Hello,

I am almost ready to send out my AOS package. I know I have to send it to the National Lock box in Chicago, but where does iit go from there? Does it come to Detroit or what? Just curious more then anything. Plus I would like to look up processing times....

From Chicago it goes to National Benefit Center in Missouri, and from there it will be transferred either to California Service Center (most likely approved without an interview) or to your local office for interview.

First it is sent to the National Benefits Center in Missouri, where interim benefits (EAD and AOS) are processed. To look up processing times for EAD an AP, look under the NBC on the USCIS page. After that it is either transferred to the California Service Center (CSC), which means most likely you will not be interviewed, or to the local office for interview and adjudication. To look up processing times for AOS, look under your local office. No idea how to look up processing times if a case is at the CSC.

Wow, well I dont knwo whether to wish for it to go to CSC and not have to ahve an interview or to go to my local office in detroit where the wait seems shorter according to the processing times....
